Super Moon of 2013

Do you know that:

There are "lunatic fears" that this event will trigger big waves and tsunami but there are no scientific basis to adverse effect of this yearly natural phenomenon.

In Bicol myths, the big moon purports to its goddess, Haliya, the adversary of the dragon Bakunawa. The Bicolanos had a dance to drive the dragon away from Haliya, and the ritual was named after the goddess. The Independence Day, the lost of the Masses Revolt.

Do you know that:

The declaration of the independence held June 12, 1898 was a temporary freedom from the colonizers(US nor Spain recognized it) worst it is also the triumph of the Elites and Ilustrados. The true author of "Himagsikan" is a peasant who represents the "uring mamayan" was partially acknowledge by the "Magdalo" faction during the revolutionary government and he with his hapless colleagues was soon persecuted and assassinated(Andres and Procorpio Bonifacio in Mt. Buntis and Gen. Antonio Luna in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija) .

In the annals of history, the elites are the one who always benefited to every triumphs of the country. This 115th celebration of Freedom may we remember the courageous soldiers behind enemy lines who fought against the oppression of the Spaniards.

Lets support the masses who are still fighting in WAR... but now to the different enemy, Poverty and Social Injustice.

In a country where the Elites always have the upper hand, we should start a silent revolution to empower the less fortunate and get the "True Freedom" we always wanted.

Misibis Bay Cable Car

Do you know that:
Cagraray Island had a breathtaking view of the sea and nearby mountains that formerly can be enjoyed onboard a Cable Car, unfortunately since the typhoon Reming the facility no longer operates.

It should be the rival of Hongkong's cable car. The long lost forgotten tourist attraction is like a lonely toy left behind by his grown up owner. As per the personnels, they are just waiting for the turn over to the Bacacay municipality which we all doubt will happen in the near future.

Nevertheless, if you want to spend your lazy afternoon gazing the picturesque landscape or just chill out with friends overlooking the historic Sula channel and Albay gulf just spend a 30 minutes drive from Legazpi and I assure you the travel will worth it.

2000 years old skulls of Cagraray Island Bacacay, Albay

Do you know that:
Prehistoric human remains with peculiar flat and elongated skulls was discovered in caves located in Cagraray Island, they were first discovered by the French scholars Montano and Rey, they were found together with shell artifacts, ornaments and burial jars. They was dated from 200 BC by the effort of Robert Fox and Alfredo Evangelista.

Artificial cranial deformation is an ancient customs of the cagraray native tribes, in which the newborn baby's head is flattened by two boards thus making it not round and they also flattens the forehead, this deformation is a mark of beauty to them.
