The Independence Day, the lost of the Masses Revolt.

Do you know that:

The declaration of the independence held June 12, 1898 was a temporary freedom from the colonizers(US nor Spain recognized it) worst it is also the triumph of the Elites and Ilustrados. The true author of "Himagsikan" is a peasant who represents the "uring mamayan" was partially acknowledge by the "Magdalo" faction during the revolutionary government and he with his hapless colleagues was soon persecuted and assassinated(Andres and Procorpio Bonifacio in Mt. Buntis and Gen. Antonio Luna in Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija) .

In the annals of history, the elites are the one who always benefited to every triumphs of the country. This 115th celebration of Freedom may we remember the courageous soldiers behind enemy lines who fought against the oppression of the Spaniards.

Lets support the masses who are still fighting in WAR... but now to the different enemy, Poverty and Social Injustice.

In a country where the Elites always have the upper hand, we should start a silent revolution to empower the less fortunate and get the "True Freedom" we always wanted.
